AI agents read your site. Now they pay for it.
Staxer tells people from AI agents on every request. Readers and search engines stay free; agents pay a fraction of a cent in USDC on Stellar, straight into your wallet.
Works with any host: static sites, your own server or just a DNS record. About five minutes.
Your content feeds AI answers. You see none of it.
- AI crawlers and agents read every page for free
- No clicks, no ads, no subscriptions in return
- Blocking them means disappearing from AI answers
- Scrapers pretend to be search engines and get through
- Agents pay per page, automatically, in USDC
- People and search engines notice nothing
- You stay in AI answers — and get paid for it
- Fake bots are caught by IP and signature checks
For everyone who publishes online.
If AI agents read what you make, Staxer turns their visits into income — without changing anything for your human audience.
AI answers quote your posts without sending readers. Get paid each time an agent reads one.
Crawlers take every article. Keep readers free and charge the machines per page.
Agents call your endpoints at scale. Charge per request with no accounts or API keys to manage.
Your docs train coding assistants. Let agents pay while developers read for free.
Lessons and guides get summarised by agents. Turn that into income.
Price bots and shopping agents scrape your catalog. Make them pay their way.
Transcripts and show notes feed AI tools. Get paid when agents use them.
Reports and datasets are expensive to make. Charge agents, keep people free.
You decide who pays.
Every visitor falls into one of five groups. Pick what each one gets, set one price, and fine-tune per page if you like. Try it — this is the same control you'll use in the dashboard.
Changes reach your site within 30 seconds. No redeploy.
Visitors using a normal web browser. e.g. Chrome, Safari, Firefox on desktop and mobile.
Gets the page for free.
Bots we can verify by their published IP addresses. Keeping them free keeps you in search results. e.g. Googlebot, Bingbot, Slack and LinkedIn link previews.
Gets the page for free.
Known bots from AI companies that collect content for training or answers. e.g. GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, CCBot.
Gets a price of 10 USDC (HTTP 402), pays, then gets the page.
Agents that prove who they are with a cryptographic signature on every request (Web Bot Auth). e.g. Assistants and agents registered with a public key.
Gets a price of 10 USDC (HTTP 402), pays, then gets the page.
Anything automated that doesn't say who it is, including bots that pretend to be Google. e.g. curl, Python scripts, scrapers, headless browsers.
Gets a price of 10 USDC (HTTP 402), pays, then gets the page.
How a paid request works
Built on x402, the open standard for paying over HTTP. Any compatible agent can pay you — no sign-up on either side.
- 1An agent asks for a page
GET /news/x402-explained
Staxer checks who it is: signature, known bot lists, IP, headers.
- 2It gets a price instead
402 Payment Required price: 0.002 USDC
People never see this. Only automated visitors you chose to charge.
- 3It signs a USDC payment
PAYMENT-SIGNATURE: …
Within the budget its owner set. No account, no API key, no invoice.
- 4You get paid, it gets the page
200 OK PAYMENT-RESPONSE: tx 21fb…
Verified in under a second, settled on Stellar in about five.
Installs in minutes, wherever you host.
The dashboard walks you through every step for your host and checks each one for you. A Playground then sends real test requests — a reader, a script, a fake search crawler and a paying agent — so you see exactly what each gets.
- Pause instantly from the dashboard
- Remove with a guided checklist
- Fails open: your site never goes down

Native to Stellar, built for micropayments.
Charging a tenth of a cent only works if moving it costs far less. On Stellar, a USDC payment settles in about five seconds for a tiny fraction of a cent, and lands directly in your own wallet — no processor, no payout schedule, no minimums.
- ~5 s
- from payment to your wallet
- < $0.001
- network fee per payment
- Yours
- Stellar wallet, your keys, your money
Building an AI agent?
Give it a wallet and a budget. Our open-source SDK pays x402 prices automatically, never above your limits, and can sign requests so sites know it's yours. There's also an MCP tool, so AI assistants can pay for what they read.
Register your agentimport { createAgentClient } from "@staxer/agent";
const agent = createAgentClient({
stellarSecret: process.env.AGENT_SECRET!,
budget: { maxPerRequest: "0.01", maxTotal: "5" },
});
// Pays the 402 price if there is one, then returns the page.
const res = await agent.fetch("https://news.example.com/article");
console.log(agent.receipts); // amount, recipient, Stellar txQuestions
Will real readers ever hit a paywall?+
No. People in normal browsers get your site exactly as before. You also start in observe mode, where nobody is charged or blocked — you see what would happen first. The dashboard tracks how many people ever saw a price; the target is under 0.1%.
Do you hold my money?+
Never. Agents pay straight into your own Stellar wallet. Staxer doesn't hold funds or keys, so there's nothing to withdraw from us.
What happens to search engines?+
Major search engines and link previews stay free, so your SEO doesn't change. We verify them by their published IP addresses, so a scraper pretending to be a search engine is caught.
What if Staxer goes down?+
Your site stays up. By default Staxer fails open: if anything on our side breaks, every request goes straight to your site. You can pause it from the dashboard at any time.
What do AI agents need to pay?+
A Stellar wallet with USDC and any x402-compatible client — like our open-source SDK or our MCP tool for AI assistants. Identifying themselves is optional unless you require it.
Can I try it without real money?+
Yes. Everything works on Stellar testnet with free test USDC, including the Playground that sends real test payments to your site.
Start in observe mode. Charge when you're ready.
See how much of your traffic is AI before anyone pays a cent. Then let agents pay you in USDC on Stellar.
